In the spring of 2022, I traveled to Italy for two weeks with my family and two small children. We stayed in Grinzane Cavour for a week near the beautiful castle. We explored the beautiful Langhe region in Piemont with vineyards, hills, picturesque villages and castles. We enjoyed the small and authentic villages like La Morra, Serralunga d'Alba, Magliano Alfieri, Pollenzo, Treiso, Neive but we also visted the cities of Bra, Alba and Asti.
Afterwards we went to Cinque Terre; 5 wonderful villages on the rugged Ligurian coast and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On foot and by train we explored the 5 villages Montereosso al Mare, Vernazza, Manarola, Corniglia en Riomaggiore. By boat we also went to Portovenere. On the way back home we stopped in at the impressive abbey Certosa di Pavia.
