Gran Paradiso NP - Alpine ibex (Gran Paradiso)

Male ibexes show off their horns, which can grow to over a meter in length. Each year a new growth ring forms, allowing you to roughly read their age from the ridges on the horn. Despite their weight, those enormous horns hardly affect their balance.
