Pirang shrimp farm - Namaqua dove This former shrimp farm consists of mangroves, rice fields, oil palms, and wide open marshlands. Pirang shrimp farm - Namaqua dove (The Gambia)

This former shrimp farm consists of mangroves, rice fields, oil palms, and wide open marshlands. It’s a fantastic place to observe both native and migratory waders and waterbirds. We were also able to spot the smallest dove species there; the Namaqua Dove (Oena capensis).
