Bijilo NP - Green monkey (The Gambia)

The green monkey can only be found in West Africa. They are very social animals that usually live in large groups and they feed mainly on fruits, insects and other invertebrates. The green monkey can be found in a variety of wooded habitats, ranging from very dry Sahelian forests to the edges of humid areas. They are also often seen in coastal areas where crabs are also a part of their diet.
