Kotu - Malachite kingfisher Thanks to our excellent guide from Senegambia Birding, we were able to spot seven species of kingfishers in Gambia. I managed to capture five of them beautifully in photos. Always wonderful to see these birds in action.<br />

The Malachite Kingfisher (Corythornis cristatus) bears the closest resemblance to the species found in our region, but its blue coloring is somewhat darker. The Malachite Kingfisher lives near water and feeds on fish, frogs, toads, and more. Stefan Cruysberghs

Kotu - Malachite kingfisher (The Gambia)

Thanks to our excellent guide from Senegambia Birding, we were able to spot seven species of kingfishers in Gambia. I managed to capture five of them beautifully in photos. Always wonderful to see these birds in action.
