Mandinari - White-throated bee-eater (The Gambia)

In Gambia we could also spot 3 species of bee-eaters; the little bee-eater, the white-throated bee-eater and the green bee-eater. Bee-eaters are very active and beautiful colorful birds. They mainly eat bees and hornets, which they first repeatedly hit against a hard branch. It was a pleasure every time I saw them in action and was able to get a little closer to take pictures.
