Carara - Black iguana The black iguana or black ctenosaur has been recorded as the fastest running lizard on earth. Males are capable of growing up to 1.5 meters and they are excellent climbers. They are primarily herbivorous, eating flowers, leaves and fruit, but sometimes also smaller animals, eggs, and arthropods.<br />
