SCIP.be is the personal website of Stefan Cruysberghs. I live in Lommel, a small town in Flanders (Belgium) and I am a passionated software developer. I like photography, travelling, hiking in nature and discovering other cultures. I practice some sports (badminton, jogging, cycling) and I like to settle with my friends.
I've been developing on the Windows platform for more almost 15 years. I have a lot of experience with OOP, UI design, Borland/Codegear Delphi, Microsoft Visual Studio, C# & .NET and databases like Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL. My current interests are learning as much as possible about .NET 3.5 and 4.0, WCF, LINQ, WPF, Silverlight, RIA Services, Enterprise Library, ADO.NET Entity Framework, Visual Studio Team System, Live platform, Design patterns, …
The pages on this site contain information about the many hobbies I have like programming, digital photography, travelling,... All the applications, components, articles and photos are put at everyone's disposal for free. This site is largely bilingual (Dutch and English). I developed both the graphic components and the programming (XHTML, PHP, Smarty, JavaScript) myself. My first website was set online in 1997 and since that day I have tried to keep it up-to-date.
My mother tongue is Dutch and my English is adequate but not perfect. If you find any errors or mistakes in my English texts, please just send me an email and I will correct them.
The internet is one big library composed by many millions of people from all over the world. Therefore my website is a small part of this worldwide community and I hope that the visitors will appreciate my contribution.
