Lower Zambezi - White-fronted bee-eaters (Zambia)

In the late afternoon we went on ‘sunset cruise’ with a small boat. The Zambezi and Kafue rivers flow together here. In the high river banks there are a lot of nests of bee-eaters. Especially the beautiful white-fronted bee-eaters (Merops bullockoides) were very busy catching insects such as dragonflies, grasshoppers, wasps, bumblebees, beetles, ...
