Yosemite - Mariposa Grove - Wawona Tunnel Tree

Mariposa Grove, where you can admire some giant sequoia trees, is situated on the west side of Yosemite. These trees can grow up to 80m tall over a life-span of more than 2000 years. The Wawona Tunnel Tree was cut in 1881 as a tourist attraction so that coaches and later on cars could drive through.
