Nakuru NP - African buffalo (Kenya)

The African buffalo is the largest hollow-horned ungulate in Africa. They can weigh up to 850kg. These majestic creatures form sizable herds, thriving in both savannahs and forests. It is also one of the big five species. The buffalo is the favorite prey for lions.
