Suguta Marma - Samburu woman After a long journey we arrived in the Samburu district in the region of the villages of Maralal, Kisima and Suguta Marmar. We camped near the hut of our Samburu friend Lenaon in Suguta Marmar. This is a photo of his wife Diana. <br />

The Samburu tribes are related to the more famous Masai and they live in northern Kenya. They are a warrior-race of semi-nomadic pastoralists who herd cattle, sheep, goats and camels. The Samburu are proud of their culture and traditions and they still cherish the customs and ceremonies of their ancestors.  Stefan Cruysberghs
