Samburu - Fighting giraffes No, these giraffes are not cuddling, they are fighting! These two male reticulated giraffes stand side-by-side and are fighting each other with their necks. We witnessed this behaviour near the Ewaso Ng'iro river in Samburu NP. It was very impressive because you could even hear the sound of the impacts. The reticulated giraffe is a subspecies of giraffe native to Somalia, southern Ethiopia and northern Kenya. Stefan Cruysberghs
