Valparai - Great Indian hornbill (India south)
In the green forests near the tea fields of Valparai there is also a lot of wildlife and it is an excellent location to see unique animals. The Great Indian hornbill (Buceros bicornis) is the largest hornbill in south India. It is predominantly frugivorous, but they also eat small mammals, reptiles and birds. They can become 95–130cm long with a winspan of 150cm.
