Fimmvörduskali

We extend the 4-day Laugavegur route with 2 extra days to Skógar. Day 5 from Þórsmörk to Fimmvörduskali is a tough trip up to about 1000m. The Fimmvörduskali hut (1093m) is small and fairly primitive and you have to melt some snow yourself for drinking water, washing and cooking. But the view is fabulous. There is still quite a lot of snow and here and there beautiful red and orange colours appear.
