Selva Verde - Green iguana (Costa Rica)
The green iguana is a large, arboreal, mostly herbivorous species of lizard that is quite common on the tropical forests in Costa Rica. Male iguanas have a dewlap in their neck which helps regulate their body temperature. They also have spines on their back. Adults can become between 1.2 and 1.7m long and they weigh around 4 kg.
