Hageland by night - Klimop Chapel in Bekkevoort On the Galgenberg, on the border between Assent (Bekkevoort) and Diest, stands the small Klimop Chapel. This little chapel is also known as the Pieck Chapel or the Hazeneike. Evrard Pieck from Assent built it in 1919 on the corner of his meadow, in gratitude for being reunited with his young family after World War I. He dedicated the chapel to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to Saint Teresa of Avila. Stefan Cruysberghs
